Your Visit to PMJ, Explained
When you walk into a PMJ Gems & Jewellers store, our team uses this system to make your visit smoother — instant price quotes, a wishlist that remembers your favourites, and estimates sent straight to your WhatsApp. Here is what happens, and what it means for you.
1. Being checked in
Your visit starts with a simple question: your phone number. Your sales representative types it in, and one of two things happens:
- 1You have visited before — your profile appears, the rep can see when you last visited, and your saved wishlist is ready to pick up where you left off.
- 2It is your first visit — the rep registers you in under a minute: name, phone number, and a few optional details like your birthday and address (helpful for anniversary reminders and deliveries).
- 3Either way, the rep checks you in. From that moment, everything they show you, quote you or save for you is attached to your profile — not lost on a scrap of paper.
No passwords, ever
2. Browsing with your rep
Our full catalogue — over a hundred thousand pieces across our stores — is on your rep’s screen. Tell them roughly what you are looking for and they can narrow it instantly:
By type & style
Rings, necklaces, bangles, earrings — down to specific sub-styles and collections.
By budget
A price range you set — you will only be shown pieces inside it.
By purity & weight
22K, 18K, 14K gold, silver or platinum; gold weight and diamond weight ranges.
Side-by-side compare
Torn between pieces? The rep can compare up to four on one screen — price, weight and stone details together.
For every piece you can see clear photos, the exact gold weight, and a full stone-by-stone breakdown — which diamonds and stones it carries, their carat weight and count. If you saw something on our Instagram or Facebook, ask — pieces featured on social media have their own section the rep can pull up.
3. Getting a price estimate
Jewellery prices move with the metal market, so we never quote from memory. When you like a piece, your rep opens a live price estimate built from:
- 1Today’s official metal rate for the piece’s purity — updated every day, the same rate for every customer.
- 2The piece’s exact weights — gold value, making charges and wastage are calculated from the actual net weight, not estimates.
- 3Every stone, individually — each diamond and coloured stone is priced by its carat weight, and you can see each line.
- 4Taxes, transparently — in India, 3% GST is shown as its own line; in our US store, customs duty and sales tax are itemised the same way. The final figure is the final figure.
Negotiating is built in
4. Your printed slip & WhatsApp copy
Once you are happy with a quote, you do not have to photograph the screen:
- 1The rep prints a neat estimate slip — the piece, its code, weights, the full price breakdown and the date. You can ask for it with or without the detailed rate column.
- 2Or (and) they send the estimate as a PDF to your WhatsApp — handy for discussing at home or comparing later.
Estimates are valid on the day of issue
5. Your wishlist
See something you love but want to think about? Ask the rep to add it to your wishlist:
- 1A tap of the heart (or a quick scan of the piece’s tag) saves it to your profile — organised by the date you picked it.
- 2It stays there across visits. Come back in three months, give your phone number, and everything you shortlisted is waiting.
- 3Want to browse at home? The rep can send your whole wishlist as a PDF on WhatsApp — photos, codes and prices included — perfect for family discussions before a big purchase.
6. Your information & how we use it
We keep only what helps us serve you better, and here is exactly what that is:
Your profile
Name, phone number and the optional details you chose to share (birthday, anniversary, address).
Your visits
When you visited and which store — so any rep can pick up your story without you repeating it.
Your wishlist
The pieces you shortlisted — kept so your next visit starts where the last one ended.
Your estimates
Quotes we prepared for you, so we can retrieve and honour the details of past conversations.
